George Bush: Most Hated in Gallup History

So the new Gallup poll results are out, and George Bush has a new record: the highest disapproval rating ever scored in the entire history of Gallup polling.

Disapproval of Bush breaks record

President Bush has set a record he'd presumably prefer to avoid: the highest disapproval rating of any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup Poll.

In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday, 28% of Americans approve of the job Bush is doing; 69% disapprove. The approval rating matches the low point of his presidency, and the disapproval sets a new high for any president since Franklin Roosevelt.

USA Today

At last we've found something George Bush really, really excels at.

I mean, think about it. Think of all the crap that's happened over the last seventy years. There was Vietnam. There was the OPEC oil crisis. There was Iran-Contra. There was whatever the hell Whitewater ended up being about. There was one impeachment and one resignation. There was Korea. There was the nuclear arms race. There was stagflation. There was disco.

But the bouncing boy from Crawford's outdone them all in a show of incompetence and idiocy that's almost magical in its purity.
